Catherine creek is a fantastic place to see wildflowers. It’s easy to get to and easy to walk up the gentle sloping hillside, meadows, and along the creek. After looking down at the wide variety of native blooms you look up to see stunning views of the Columbia River.

I took my mother here my times, she loved it.

When everyone arrives, I’ll orient you to the lay of the land. It isw very spacious and open. We can wander as a group or you can wander in your privacy too...as you wish. Bring a picnic for lunch, perhaps something comfortable to sit on, and a field guide too, if you like. Some flowers are rare and short-lived.

At 2:00 pm we’ll meet at the creekside to have tea and chocolate. We’ll have 3 different teas served gong-fu style and 3 kinds of chocolate to harmonize with each tea.

Tea will last about 1 1/2 hours. Then we’ll make our way back to the cars and be off…

Of course, please feel free to arrive early and stay late. Your easy pace will be rewarded. You’ll see a lot even if you only walk a mile.
